The Preserve Annuity applies surrender charges to withdrawals exceeding the penalty-free amount during the guarantee period. Charges start at 7% in year one and decrease annually, depending on the term. They reset if the contract is renewed and do not apply during the 30-day renewal window or for certain exceptions like death or qualified care riders.

The death benefit is equal to the account value. If a surviving spouse is the sole beneficiary, the contract may continue under their ownership. Beneficiaries may elect lump sum or income payments.

A single penalty-free withdrawal per year starting in contract year two. The maximum withdrawal is 10% of account value on the previous anniversary. Amounts exceeding 10% are subject to surrender charges and MVA. RMDs exceeding the penalty-free amount are exempt from surrender charges.

This contract provides a guaranteed fixed interest rate over the selected term, issued by Clear Spring Life and Annuity Company. It includes tax-deferral benefits, meaning interest grows without current taxation until withdrawn. Beginning in the second contract year, policyholders are entitled to penalty-free withdrawals up to 10% of the account value annually. Upon the owner’s death, the full account value is paid to the beneficiary, either as a lump sum or in income payments. Optional riders provide added flexibility for nursing home care or terminal illness. The policy also includes an automatic renewal feature with a 30-day window to make changes at the end of the initial term.

Thirty days before the end of the term, the owner may elect a new guarantee period. If no action is taken, the annuity renews into the same term with a new rate and surrender schedule. Withdrawals during this 30-day window are not subject to surrender charges or MVA.
